What is it?
Here We Ride is a FREE bike-riding event that will be held on Saturday and Sunday, August 1-2, 2020 to
complement and celebrate the efforts of “The Reformation 500” exercise portion of the Here We Stand
Campaign. Because of social distancing and limited gatherings, you can join Here We Ride right at home on your
local trails and in your neighborhoods.
How does it work?

• Here We Ride is intended to be entirely FREE for ALL PARTICIPANTS. However, participants (and families)
are encouraged to collect pledges for the miles they will ride that weekend; 50% of the money raised will go
to the ministry of your choice (church/school/other) and the remaining 50% to the Here We Stand campaign
initiatives.

• We ask that all participants register online so we can track participation.

• Prior to the event, set your goal for miles you (and your family) will complete and collect pledges.

•Starting and finishing at your home, you and your family are encouraged to ride the distance you choose
anytime Saturday or Sunday. Then simply collect your donations from August 5-25, 2020, and send to the
District and your chosen ministry.

•To make this event a little more fun, there will be prizes for longest ride in each age category (5 & under,
6-12, 13-19, 20-39, 40-59, and 60+) and for the best decorated bicycle and most creative t-shirt designs
by an individual or family. Submissions for these prizes will be done via social media. Share a photo of your
bicycle, your creative Here We Ride t-shirt design, or a picture of your ride and the number of miles you
completed. Be sure to use the hashtags #milcms and #hereweride.
